VTT test can smell ketosis

VTT has developed a quick, easy-to-use ketosis test for consumers that can detect acetone on exhaled breath. The test will benefit diabetics and dieters in particular, but it can easily be adapted to other uses as well, such as the detection of the air pollutants formaldehyde or acetaldehyde. EU support for sharing field operational test data

The European Commission has granted funding for the FOT-Net Data project, whose main aim is to make traffic data collected in field operational tests (FOTs) more widely available to researchers. Electric bus trials begin in Espoo, Finland

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is initiating test runs with an electric prototype bus in Espoo in spring 2013. The objective is to test the performance and properties of products from Finnish component manufacturers. The test runs are operated without passengers.
