Kallebäcks Terrasser’s large new office building will be self-sufficient in renewable energy. Save by Solar will now install 508 solar cell modules on the roof of the property. Internally-produced wind power together with 1,000 square meters of solar cell modules will contribute to a climate-smart everyday life for the commercial tenants that are moving in at the end of next year. The solar cell production will also generate locally produced electricity for the charging stations in the property’s garage.

In one year, the approximately 250 meter long office building in Kallebäcks Terrasser will be ready. Apart from modern, flexible office premises, there is also a garage and parking places for both bicycles and cards in the same building. A large gym with a panoramic view is also planned here. With the new solar cell modules on the roof, 150 MWh of electricity will be micro produced onsite.

Apart from fantastic office space in a completely new area, it feels really great to also be able to contribute locally produced energy to the property and for our future commercial tenants in Kallebäcks Terrasser,” says Marina Fritsche, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

The office property is located directly adjacent to the E6 motorway and national road 40, close to both Landvetter airport and Gothenburg Central station. The design of the premises will be based on the mobile way of working and interior design concepts are already in place for small, medium-sized and larger businesses.

It feels fantastic together with Wallenstam to be involved in the development of Kallebäcks Terrasser and contribute to a climate-smart installation of solar cell modules in such a large area as 1,000 square meters for the large office building,” says Simon Johansson, Regional Sales Manager, West Region at Save by Solar.

With electricity from wind and sun, the approximately 250 meter long office façade along the E6 motorway will contribute to light in the darkness with a light strip that illuminates and symbolizes the differences in altitude in the Kallebäck Terrasser area.

In early 2019, construction began of Kallebäcks Terrasser. Here, the first blocks are now being developed in a lively district, which in the longer term will include 1,800 new homes and 1,200 office workspaces as well as schools, nursery schools, restaurants, cafés and local services. The office building was designed by Liljewall arkitekter and the construction contract is managed by BRA Bygg.
