Älta Torg is developing with a gym, healthcare center and new stores
Älta Torg is set for an exciting development this year with several popular businesses establishing themselves. Recently, an agreement was signed with Nordic Wellness, which is planning to open an ultra-modern facility of almost 900 square meters in the middle of October. Now in spring, Kry healthcare center and Mammaproffsen midwifery center will take possession of their nice premises. Later in the fall, Apotek Hjärtat, ICA, Systrarnas Kiosk and the hairdressing salon Ältasalongen will open.
The first keys were recently handed out to Wallenstam’s new construction in Älta Torg, where the tenants will gradually move into 191 apartments by the end of May. Now the ground floors are also being filled with new exciting businesses. At present, preparatory work and adaptations of premises are ongoing for all areas.
“It is really great to welcome all the companies to new business opportunities at Älta Torg. With these new additions, Älta Torg will be transformed into a wonderfully vibrant meeting place that offers something for everyone,” says Mathias Aronsson, Vice CEO and Regional Director Stockholm/Uppsala.
Nordic Wellness, one of Sweden’s largest fitness chains with more than 350 gyms and several padel halls, from the north to the south of the country, is continuing its expansion and is now opening a unit in Älta. The gym will offer the latest in exercise equipment and machines.
“We are really looking forward to opening at Älta Torg and to be able to contribute to improved public health. Our goal is to create an inspiring and pleasant training environment where everyone should feel welcome,” says Magnus Wilhelmsson, CEO of Nordic Wellness AB.
In the development of Älta as a whole, the ambition is to connect the square with existing residential areas and create natural and inviting meeting places based around culture, services, restaurants and retail. A center environment, which will be outward-looking and accessible with a lot more services and life. For Wallenstam, this is work that involves six phases. Via Wallenstam's housing queue, as a housing applicant you can register your interest in upcoming new constructions in Älta.
