Artisan bakery to open in Mölnlycke Fabriker
A nice addition to Mölnlycke Fabriker is coming in the fall for all those who like sourdough bread and good pastries. Then a new bakery is opening with a shop and café in the area. The stone oven bakery – Stenugnsbageriet in Landvetter – is growing and opening another unit on 1,000 newly renovated square meters.
“We are really looking forward to opening in Mölnlycke Fabriker and to taking the next step in our development. After looking at several premises, we found the right one in this wonderful environment, among beautiful old buildings and new apartments. The pleasant café part will have space for larger groups and the large window sections offer an insight into the very heart of the business, the bakery production,” says Fredrik Frigell, who owns and runs Stenugnsbageriet.
Apart from a larger bakery and a new shop, Stenugnsbageriet will serve a breakfast buffet, a simpler lunch and its popular Italian ice cream, which is produced in-house.
“Stenugnsbageriet will be a wonderful addition to the environment that we have created in Mölnlycke Fabriker. An area, which has been developed from a closed factory area into a new lively district featuring new apartments, sports halls, the new arena and many fine businesses integrated with the older properties,” says Marina Fritsche, Vice CEO and Regional Director of Wallenstam in Gothenburg.
A core part of Stenugnsbageriet’s business is the carefully selected ingredients.
“The details are important for us, we have a strong focus on craftmanship and we create everything from the very beginning as far as possible. I hope and believe that we can attract new customers who want to buy fresh bread for breakfast, join us for a coffee or lunch and enjoy the aroma of freshly baked bread,” says Fredrik.
Stenugnsbageriet will have its entrance from Bruksgatan in Mölnlycke Fabriker, a pleasant thoroughfare with a public and easily accessible location for both local residents and visitors. Friskis & Svettis is also moving to new premises here during the fall. So far, Wallenstam has welcomed tenants to just over 400 homes in the area. In April, the keys were handed over to 128 newly constructed rental apartments in the Skogsvaktaren block.
