Kallebäcks Terrasser creates new silhouette in Gothenburg’s cityscape

In one year, the first residential tenants will move into Kallebäcks Terrasser. Just by the edge of the forest, at the foot of the hill, three buildings are now taking shape with a breathtaking view and are creating a completely new silhouette in Gothenburg’s cityscape. 700 bicycle parking places, a cost-free bicycle pool and a free public transport card on occupation are some of the mobility solutions that are included for the residents. 

In the first project Kv. Mejeristen, you will live close to tranquility, close to the pulse and close to an easier everyday life in apartments that vary in size from studio to 4 bedroom units. There will be duplex apartments at the top of the buildings featuring large roof terraces and a view that is really something extra special. Letting begins in spring 2021 through Wallenstam’s own housing queue. 

“We are really looking forward to being able to welcome our first residential tenants to Kallebäcks Terrasser next year. A really beautiful area is in the process of taking shape. The view of the city, the proximity to Gothenburg but also green areas such as Delsjö’s nature reserve and lakes to swim in, provides many qualities in the accommodation. We have also developed a substantial mobility program here together with the City of Gothenburg in order to encourage more sustainable travel,” says Marina Fritsche, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

It is smoke-free housing featuring walls in bright color tones, tiles, oak parquet floors, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher as standard. The apartments will have a balcony or patio.

When fully developed, Kallebäcks Terrasser as an area will include 1,800 new homes as well as fine commercial floor space for offices, shops, restaurants, school and nursery school. The  Kv. Mejeristen project is part of the Bostad 2021 housing initiative and the project is being built according to Miljöbyggnad Silver standard.
