From October, there are completely new opportunities to access healthcare services at the Långgatan streets in Gothenburg. Then Meliva healthcare center and child healthcare center will open a new 710-square-meter unit at Första Långgatan 16.

“To help ensure that the local area close to the Långgatan streets is supplemented with both a new healthcare center and child healthcare center feels very positive. We are looking forward to welcoming Meliva to us,” says Marina Fritsche, Regional Director Gothenburg and Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

“Masthuggskajen is a really exciting district as you know, and an area where a lot will happen in the next few years. For us, the fact that it is an attractive location with good accessibility for both patients and employees was decisive in our choice of premises. We are really looking forward to opening in the fall and are currently hiring staff for the operations,” says Jörgen Svedberg, responsible for Meliva’s primary care in the Västra Götaland region.

Meliva offers primary care, child healthcare, occupational healthcare and specialist care in Stockholm, Uppsala and Västra Götaland and is one of the country’s largest providers of primary care with around 140,000 listed patients. The company has its roots in the Finnish care provider Mehiläinen, which has been a leader in medical services and healthcare in Finland since 1909.

“Our focus on safe, personalized care and a combination of physical and digital care visits is something that we will take with us to Första Långgatan. We want to be the natural care provider for those who live or work in the area, regardless of age or type of health problem,” says Jörgen Svedberg.
