More wonderful food experiences for Umami Park
Stella Pizza, a new star on the restaurant horizon, will open in the spring at Umami square, right in the heart of the new area. The restaurant is owned by the famous restaurateurs who operate the Michelin Guide restaurant Etoile in Stockholm. In late summer, they will be joined by Iveel Sushi, which is specialized in Nikkei sushi, a tribute to Japanese-Peruvian cuisine.
“It is very nice to welcome another two really popular restaurants to Umami Park – two establishments, which will be an excellent addition to the area and that will provide added value to everyone who lives and works here,” says Mathias Aronsson, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.
The owners behind Stella Pizza want to transform and modernize the pizza industry to become more sustainable, united, accessible and more fun. The first restaurant opened in January this year and has been a tremendous success. Today Stella Pizza can be found at a total of six addresses in the Stockholm area, and the company’s ambition is to continue expanding in Stockholm and after that elsewhere in Sweden.
“We celebrate and draw inspiration from the Swedish pizza tradition with varieties of pizza that we ourselves grew up with. At the same time, we want to improve the quality and create pizzas that are sustainable and artisanal at family-friendly prices. Now we are looking forward to our opening in Umami Park and to welcome whole families to come here and hang out. Children aged up to 12 therefore eat for free,” says Jonas Lagerström, one of the co-owners of Stella Pizza.
Iveel Sushi is already a tenant of Wallenstam in Rosendal in Uppsala with a popular sushi restaurant.
“We are really looking forward to opening in a new popular area and to provide new taste experiences with Nikkei sushi, which is our speciality. This involves ingredients of the highest quality, Japanese techniques and recipes that are fused with Peruvian flavours,” says the owner Ulsturbold Ganzorigt.
In Umami Park to date, three new residential blocks have been developed together with a totally renovated modern central block containing commercial floor space. Convendum and Nordic Wellness have recently opened here and the greentech company Ferroamp will move their headquarters here in the spring. Fully developed, Umami Park will include about 800 new apartments as well as new areas for restaurants, shops, services and offices.
