Norrøna chooses Wallenstam and Kungsgatan in Gothenburg
In October, the popular outdoor brand Norrøna will open a new store in Wallenstam’s premises at Kungsgatan 42-44 in Gothenburg. The premises, which are now being reconstructed for the new store, will get a completely new entrance facing onto Kungsgatan.
“We are very much looking forward to our opening on Kungsgatan. Sweden is an important market for Norrøna and our new store in Gothenburg will be the perfect addition to our current retail portfolio of stores in Stockholm, Åre and Hede. Norrøna incorporates function, quality, design and sustainability into everything we do and we look forward to providing our customers in Gothenburg with the total Norrøna experience,” says Bård Kvamme, Director of Norrøna Retail.
After the opening on Kungsgatan in Gothenburg, Norrøna will have a total of 38 stores in Norway, Sweden, Finland, USA, Germany, France and Switzerland.
The company’s history began in 1929 when the Norwegian outdoor enthusiast Jørgen Jørgensen was looking for hardwearing outdoor equipment, which could withstand Norway’s harsh weather and nature. Today Norrøna develops new technical and functional products, which are the ultimate for outdoor life. In collaboration with a dedicated testing team, every detail is experimented with, in order to achieve technical and functional perfection for every garment.
“Norrøna is one of several strong new establishments on Kungsgatan recently, in an area where major positive changes have been carried out in the offering. We are looking forward to welcoming a new well-known premium brand within outdoor products right in the heart of Gothenburg,” says Anders Forsling, Chief Account Manager, Commercial at Wallenstam in Gothenburg.
