Right in the middle of Vasastan in Gothenburg, 30 wonderfully spacious cooperative apartments are now being constructed next to Vasaparken, in a property from 1890. Each apartment will be unique both in terms of size and characteristic details of the period. The apartments will range from two to four room and kitchen and from 72 to 171 square meters. Sales are expected to start in fall 2017 with occupation in spring 2018.

“This is a unique building in a new Renaissance style with an unusual number of characteristic details of the period. A treasure from the turn of the century that will now become a residential property again after having been used as office space for a number of years. Here we are recreating high-quality apartments in a unique location in the middle of the city in direct proximity to Vasaparken, which in my view will make a fantastic contribution to the housing market in Gothenburg,” says Thomas Dahl, Deputy CEO of Wallenstam.

Vasagatan 33, Lorensberg 50:1, was designed in a new Renaissance style characteristic of the period by the architect Ernst Krüger and was constructed in 1890. The property will be carefully renovated to ensure that the generous size and spacious feel are preserved and to further strengthen the character of the property. The building originally housed several very large apartments of 7-8 rooms and kitchen but also some smaller apartments of 3 rooms and kitchen. The building’s façade is elaborately designed and the various materials including brick, plaster and iron are used to provide variation and decorate the different parts of the façade.

The architect for the conversion project is Mats & Arne architect's office. The apartments will be sold by Ahre estate agents with sales expected to start in fall 2017.
