On July 10, Polestar Space will open in Wallenstam’s premises at Kungsportsavenyen 25. In the middle of Gothenburg’s most fashionable street, Sweden’s new electric performance car brand will demonstrate its cars in a specially-designed ‘experience store’. The customers place their orders online afterwards.

Polestar Space is an important part of our customer experience, and the place where we will physically meet our customers. It feels really great to be able do this in summer in an avant-garde environment in the middle of Gothenburg’s most fashionable street,” comments Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar.

The former cinema at Kungsportsavenyen 25 will be an ‘experience store’ with a stripped-down design featuring carefully and meticulously selected materials that put the cars into focus. It will be a fully digital retail experience that allows customers to do everything online. In Polestar Space on Avenyn, customers will be able to experience design, colors, details and, above all, get the opportunity to meet experts on-site, see the cars and book a test drive. Polestar Spaces are built on the design concept that Polestar is working on in its lab environment in Gothenburg, and are intended to redefine how people interact with a car brand.

We are very happy and proud to be able to welcome Polestar to Avenyn. Polestar Space will provide a spectacular and innovative customer experience where everything is designed down to the smallest detail. Polestar is a sustainable, exciting and welcome addition to Gothenburg’s most fashionable street and our other businesses on Avenyn,” says Marina Fritsche, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

In summer, Polestar 1 and Polestar 2 will start rolling on the Swedish roads and will also be found at Polestar Space. It will also be possible to book a test drive of both cars at the Avenyn store.

“It is naturally special to open Polestar Space in our home market. Everyone is welcome to visit us, but of course the digital option is there if people prefer it,” comments Martin Ölund, Head of Sweden at Polestar.

Polestar is a performance brand in the electric car market and is co-owned by Volvo Car Group and Zhejiang Geely Holding. Polestar Space is already established in Oslo, Beijing and Shanghai. In Gothenburg, Polestar will lease just over 500 square meters at Kungsportsavenyen 25 and will open on July 10.
