Post-production of feature films onsite in Gothenburg

Right in the middle of Vasastan in Gothenburg, in Wallenstam’s distinguished building dating from 1898, feature films for the future are being created. In specially built subdued rooms, the post-production company Tint is putting the finishing touches to sound, lighting, cutting and special effects before movies go onto the big screen. Right now the construction is underway of a full-scale post-production facility in the premises, which will contain a total floor space of 684 square meters.

Tint already has a presence in Stockholm and has itself invested heavily in the establishment in Gothenburg. The company focuses primarily on feature films. The latest film of Ruben Östlund is currently being worked on and apart from many international advertising films, for example the films I am Greta, The Square and the Home Box Office (HBO) series We Are Who We Are, are on the reference list.

“We looked high and low before we found this wonderful premises with the right conditions. I am not afraid to say that we are the only post-production company in Western Sweden and possibly in the whole of Sweden which is investing so heavily in feature films and cinema. The investment in relation to the location is unique in the industry, and it is also a strategic choice in terms of film policy,” says Vincent Larsson, Post-Production Supervisor at Tint.

The property on Parkgatan/Storgatan has a long history behind it. The premises are now being adapted in the best way by a building antiquarian, whose detailed work is proceeding on the basis of the building’s character and Tint's operations.

“This is both an exciting and a very nice letting for us in a fine old property, which provides great opportunities for a creative gang like Tint,” says Anders Forsling, Chief Account Manager; Commercial at Wallenstam in Gothenburg.

“With our post-production building, we want to compete at a high international level and even create a forum where we, among other things, intend to collaborate with the Gothenburg Film festival for screenings in a recommended environment but also lectures and training in the latest post-production technology, says Vincent Larsson.
