Spanish taste experiences for Kungsportsplatsen 1
Lots of wonderful Spanish flavors will be on offer at Kungsportsplatsen 1 in Gothenburg when Bar el Guiri opens with four sub-concepts in the restaurant. The opening is planned for the end of November when Peter Segerdahl and staff will welcome guests to 662 square meters full of Spanish culinary experiences. The four different concepts will consist of a pinchos bar, a classic restaurant area with an open kitchen and a ‘héladeria’ ice cream parlor, which apart from ice cream will also offer churros and good pastries. On the second floor, a lounge area is being created featuring a shuffleboard game and boules courts in a pleasant verdant environment.
“Bar el Guiri will have a really excellent location right in the center of Gothenburg, the best of Spain brought together in the one place. For me, the overall concept is important, that the guests get to experience Spain when they come to us – it’s about everything from the music, food and the aroma to a welcoming atmosphere,” says the owner Peter Segerdahl, who also runs the restaurant Spanska Köket.
“Bar el Guiri will create a new restaurant experience for everyone who longs for a lovely dose of Spain right in the heart of Gothenburg. We are very happy to welcome them to Kungsportsplatsen 1,” says Marina Fritsche, Regional Director Gothenburg and Vice CEO of Wallenstam.
Apart from Spanska Köket, Peter Segerdahl has also started and run the restaurant Moon Thai Kitchen, for example. The plans for Bar el Guiri are to serve good classic Spanish food with the best ingredients and a lot of passion.
“I have a special liking for Spain and Spanish cuisine both after having lived there for 14 years and also having travelled around a lot. For me, it is important to create the right feeling with the food, furnishing and service. The beauty of Bar el Guiri’s different areas is that the guests can choose themselves what suits on the day, if they want to pop in for a glass of wine and some pinchos or book a longer sitting in the restaurant,” says Peter.
