The investment company Trine is growing and in March will move into new office premises with Wallenstam at Södra Hamngatan 23. Developments have gone at a furious pace since the company was established six years ago. To date, 11,000 of Trine’s investors have helped just over 2.4 million people in developing countries to gain access to electricity from solar energy while more than 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions have been avoided.

Trine is an investment platform that makes it easy for individuals and companies to invest in solar energy where it does the most good. Investors get the opportunity of a financial return while their investment generates great social and environmental benefits. Starting from March 2021, the expanding company will be accommodated on 183 square meters in Wallenstam’s premises at Södra Hamngatan 23.

“As a growth company in constant development, we were searching for a new creative office environment in a good location and we found Södra Hamngatan 23. It is a fantastic location with amazing views over the large harbor canal and close to cafés and other amenities. We are now really looking forward to our move in the spring and it feels really fantastic to be able to offer a modern and flexible workplace,” says Sam Manaberi, CEO of Trine.

“It feels very positive to welcome a new expansive tenant representing innovation, sustainability and development to our fine premises on Södra Hamngatan, right in the heart of Gothenburg. This is a popular area with a wonderful choice of everything you want just around the corner,” says Marina Fritsche, Regional Director Gothenburg and Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

“We have been on an exciting journey in the past year and hope to be able to put impact investing further on the map. More than 1 billion people currently lack electricity and use fossil fuels, which is costly and hazardous to both health and the environment. This is where we are involved and make a difference. In our new premises, we will  create space for development and dialogue in an environment where investors, partners and colleagues have the chance to meet,” says Sam Manaberi, CEO of Trine.

Trine has its origins as a Chalmers Ventures’ company and was founded in 2015 in Gothenburg by Sam Manaberi, Christoffer Falsen, Andreas Lehner and Christian Genne. The largest owner is the venture capital firm Gullspång Invest.
