Wallenstam’s fourth new construction project in Uppsala has now started − Tre vänner, involving a total of 141 apartments spread among three buildings in the Rosendal district. The apartments will range in size from one to two rooms and kitchen and are expected to be ready for occupation in 2019.

“With the new construction project Tre vänner, we will provide a further three buildings and 141 rental apartments for Rosendal, where the second phase in the area is now under construction. To date, we have welcomed 300 new tenants to our new productions in Uppsala, and we currently have ongoing and planned construction for about 600 apartments,” says Mathias Aronsson, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

All apartments will have a balcony or patio and four commercial premises will also be included in the properties. Mobility and sustainability are two key words in the design. The future tenants will be able to park their bicycles by hanging them on the façade of their entrance balcony, which will give the property a vibrant and artistic decoration.

All in all, the Rosendal area is expected to accommodate about 4,500 apartments and about 100,000 square meters of university-related activities. The area has a strong focus on sustainability including strict demands in relation to the number of bicycles in the buildings.
