University of Gothenburg leases just over 5,000 square meters from Wallenstam
Wallenstam has signed a lease with the University of Gothenburg, which will take possession of just over 5,000 square meters at Rosenlundsgatan 8 by summer 2026. The premises are spread over two floors at the top of the building and will be adapted to bring together the university’s administration in one place. In connection with the adaptation of the premises, certification of the property according to Environmental Building In-Use (Miljöbyggnad iDrift) is planned.
In late 2023, Wallenstam signed a lease with the University of Gothenburg for five newly renovated examination halls, which are now ready to receive students on Första and Andra Långgatan in January. Now this collaboration is being further expanded, which means that the University of Gothenburg will lease office premises of just over 8,700 square meters in total from Wallenstam.
“It feels really great to further deepen our collaboration with the University of Gothenburg, which is now leasing an additional 5,000 newly renovated square meters from us. This letting means that they can bring together their administrative management under the one roof in Rosenlund, something that we are very happy to help with,” says Marina Fritsche, Regional Director Gothenburg and Vice CEO of Wallenstam.
The University of Gothenburg was founded as far back as 1891 and is one of Sweden’s largest universities with more than 53,800 students and 6,700 staff members. With almost 2,000 courses and more than 200 educational programs, the University of Gothenburg is one of Sweden’s top-ranked and most popular universities.
