Wallenstam and SBB have today agreed that SBB will acquire two centrally located public use properties from Wallenstam.

“It is very nice to be able to carry out this transaction with SBB, where we are selling two fine properties containing educational premises, which we have owned, managed and developed for a number of years. It feels good that SBB with its focus on public use properties is now taking them over,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO.

The property Nordstaden 24:11 with the address Kronhusgatan 16/Östra Hamngatan 15 consists of about 4,200 sq m and is today fully let. The largest tenant is Vittraskolorna.

The property Inom Vallgraven 64:31 with the address Stora Badhusgatan 16 consists of about 1,700 sq m. The tenant is Kitas utbildning, which leases the entire floor space.

“SBB is the Nordic countries’ largest owner of public use properties and we are happy to acquire two well-managed school properties in central Gothenburg from a long-term actor like Wallenstam. We are looking forward to finding further opportunities for collaboration with Wallenstam going forward,” says Ilija Batljan, CEO and founder of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (SBB).

Both of the properties are being sold through company transactions for an agreed property value of SEK 290 million in respect of Nordstaden 24:11 and SEK 90 million in respect of Inom Vallgraven 64:31, SEK 380 million in total. Vacation of the properties will occur on April 1, 2021.
