Wallenstam and Colive have today signed an agreement on a co-living project in Haninge. The co-living apartments for about 100 tenants are part of Wallenstam’s Parkstråket project and production is already in full swing. First occupation is planned for fall 2020.

In September 2018, production started of the Parkstråket project in Haninge. Today an agreement was signed that a stairwell consisting of 17 co-living apartments for about 100 tenants will be let to Stockholm-based Colive AB. Apart from the co-living apartments, Wallenstam is also building 267 ordinary rental apartments, which will be let via Wallenstam’s own queue and Stockholms Bostadsförmedling. Occupation is planned to occur in phases from fall 2020 until spring 2021.

“We have noticed an increased interest for everything in the sharing economy and collective living. Therefore it feels very good to now be able to test offering this form of housing too,” says Mathias Aronsson Regional Director Stockholm and Uppsala, Wallenstam AB.

The co-sharing concept means that the tenants will have their own private room and will share social areas and kitchen. The rent includes Internet, cleaning of common areas and furniture.

“About 5-6 people will live in each co-living apartment and they will share a kitchen and living room, which will make up about half of the total area. The other half will consist of private bedrooms. In addition to the co-living apartments, the tenants have full access to the common building areas on the ground floor ‒ a meeting place for all “co-livers” in the building where components such as a “social laundry room”, lounge, workspaces, socializing areas and an outdoor terrace are included. The target group is young adults aged from 20-35, who value living together with others for increased social interaction and a sense of community, while the housing offers a maintained private life by having your own room,” says Katarina Liljestam Beyer, Vice CEO and co-founder of Colive AB.

“It’s a very important milestone that we can now offer co-living in a first large scale project. Together with Wallenstam, we have managed to create a home environment in a short period of time containing all the components that we believe are needed in order to offer a really good living experience. All the way from having your own room and the co-living apartment to the extra services included, and not least, the opportunity to be part of a community with the chance to get to know and socialize with new people. To have the opportunity to live at Colive, housing applicants can register in the company community on www.colive.se,” says Katarina Liljestam Beyer.
