Wallenstam launches housing app for tenants
Wallenstam in an initial pilot test is launching a housing app for 440 customers in four properties. Featuring news about their housing, service-sharing, the possibility to book common areas such as laundry rooms and contact customer service, tenants are now being given access to their housing via their mobile phone. After a three month trial period, the plan is to launch Wallenstam’s app for all residential tenants during fall 2019.
“We see a huge potential for digital housing services and want to be able to offer smart and efficient solutions for our tenants. The development of services is a natural part of our innovation and sustainability work. Through a social flow in the app, our residential tenants can also transform the sharing economy into practice,” says Elisabeth Vansvik, Communications Director.
The app is being launched in collaboration with the property tech company Tmpl from Uppsala and will be provided through the Tmpl platform, which currently has more than 50,000 users. Wallenstam’s pilot launch covers four properties in Gothenburg and Stockholm. There has been strong interest and a first partial evaluation is currently in progress.
Apart from finding questions and answers, manuals and care instructions, tenants can book times in common areas such as laundry rooms, check their electricity and water consumption and gain access to services such as the Wallenstam Go car pool. It is also possible for tenants through a social flow to share, sell, exchange and give away things to their neighbors. The goal is to continually develop new functions in order to offer tenants a more convenient everyday life.
“We are pleased to note a rapidly increasing interest in our platform and we are putting all our focus on meeting demand and on developing the platform, collaborations and additional service offerings,” says Henrik Svanqvist, CEO of Tmpl.
