Wallenstam sells building rights in Mölnlycke Fabriker to OBOS
As part of the development of Mölnlycke Fabriker, Wallenstam is selling a property with building rights to OBOS. The building rights include the possible construction of approximately 120 homes. The property is a part of the urban development area that Wallenstam owns and has been developing for many years.
In Mölnlycke Fabriker, Wallenstam has already constructed about 500 rental apartments and has thereby created a vibrant district with apartments, commercial premises, cafés, restaurants and sports halls. The area is beautifully located beside Massetjärn lake, close to public transport and Mölnlycke Centrum.
“We think that it is good to supplement the area with co-op apartments and thus it feels great to hand over these building rights to an operator, which is specialized in exactly that. We welcome OBOS as an operator to Mölnlycke Fabriker and we are looking forward to continue managing and developing this beautiful area,” says Marina Fritsche, Regional Director Gothenburg and Vice CEO of Wallenstam.
The building rights in question allow for the construction of approximately 120 homes. The property Härryda Mölnlycke 1:167 is being sold through a company transaction for an agreed property value of SEK 90 million. OBOS will take possession of the property on May 27, 2025.
