Wallenstam’s new construction Ädellövet started today when Karin Wanngård, Commissioner of Finance of the City of Stockholm and Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Wallenstam, unveiled the Drevvikens Kryp Inn insect hotel. This is a symbol of the construction start of the 172 rental apartments along Drevvikens strand in Larsboda, Farsta.

“I am both happy and proud together with Karin Wanngård to symbolically start the construction of 172 new rental apartments in Larsboda. It feels extra special to initiate a new rental apartment project in these challenging times when so few new constructions are starting and when there is huge demand for rental apartments,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Wallenstam.

The area is located close to a lake and future residents will be able to enjoy an uninterrupted waterfront walk including bathing jetties and proximity to nature as the waterfront area is being turned into a public park. The apartments will range in size from studio to 3 bedrooms and will be spread among four building bodies.

“Stockholm needs more housing and more rental apartments in particular. The rental apartments that are now starting to be constructed will be an important part of an exciting district close to nature which is taking shape here and that will connect Farsta and Larsboda with Sköndal. A new nursery school and a total of 480 apartments will be constructed in the area in mixed forms of tenure. Through urban development, we can contribute to a cohesive Stockholm,” says Karin Wanngård, Commissioner of Finance of the City of Stockholm.

The Kvarter Ädellövet project has been designed by Semrén & Månsson and will be constructed by Tornstaden. Wallenstam is one of several active construction companies in the area, which is planned to comprise a total of 480 apartments and that will feature mixed-use development.
