Willys Hemma to open at Vasagatan 45 in Gothenburg
In fall 2024, Willys Hemma will open a new store with a floor space of 925 square meters at Vasagatan 45 in Gothenburg. It will be a store with a broad and varied assortment in focus, including a lot of perishable produce and a large proportion of ecological and eco-labeled products. A strategic and long-term store establishment.
“We see that our concept involving low prices and a broad product range with a lot to choose from is very much in demand. The store at Vasagatan 45 has a fantastic location and we are looking forward to further good cooperation with Wallenstam,” says Heinz Möller, Establishment Manager at Willys.
Willys is planning for a store opening in the fall. Before that, Wallenstam will carry out some adaptation of connecting areas relating to lighting and expanded, customized waste management facilities.
“There has been a very strong interest in the premises, which are in a sought-after location. Avenyn has a lot to offer including exciting cultural life, shopping, wonderful restaurants and a nice big city feel. The Vasagatan store’s focus will be on a broad and varied assortment of products with low prices. Among other things, a lot of perishable produce and a large proportion of ecological and eco-labeled products will be on offer. The ambition is also that the store should meet the criteria for “Good environmental choice”, which is the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation’s label for grocery stores, with strict requirements, including in relation to product assortment and energy efficiency.
At the end of last year, Falck also signed a lease with Wallenstam for just over 1,000 square meters at the same address. The current tenant in the premises where Willys will move to in the fall is Lidl.
