Wave Hill Offers Free Community Meditation, Saturday, January 3

This January, let Wave Hill help you keep your New Year’s resolutions—and infuse mind and spirit with positive, joyful energy. On Saturday, January 3rd, learn how to cultivate internal wellness with a free session of mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness meditation has been proven to relieve stress, help you focus and even make you happier. Led by a member from the Yoga for Bliss team, this is a beginners’ level class, but is open to all levels.  

What: Free Community Meditation

Where: Wave Hill, West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, Bronx, New York

 Meet at the Perkins Visitor Center

When: Saturday, January 3, 2015, 11:30AM-12:30PM 

Fee: Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon

Support for wellness sessions at Wave Hill is provided by The William Froelich Foundation. Wave Hill, Inc. is an independent, non-profit cultural institution governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The buildings and grounds of Wave Hill are owned by the City of New York. With the assistance of the Bronx Borough President and Bronx representatives in the City Council and State Legislature, Wave Hill’s operations are supported with public funds through the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs; the Zoos, Botanical Gardens and Aquariums Grant Program administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; the National Endowment for the Arts; the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation; and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
