Wave Hill Recognizes New York State for its Ongoing Support
Join Claudia Bonn, Wave Hill’s President and Executive Director, at this public garden and cultural center’s August 6th Sunset Wednesday, an opportunity for Wave Hill to publicly express its gratitude to the State of New York for both current and historic support of the institution’s operations. Ms. Bonn will welcome New York State Senator Jeffrey D. Klein and New York State Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz for brief remarks and an opportunity for all to enjoy the evening’s music, yoga, garden walk and contemporary art in Wave Hill’s Glyndor Gallery. “We are especially pleased to be celebrating New York State’s support now,” commented Ms. Bonn, “when the borough of the Bronx turns 100 and Wave Hill looks toward its fiftieth anniversary year in 2015.” Many public and private entities stand behind a cultural institution; on the cusp of such a significant anniversary, Wave Hill is pleased to express its gratitude for the unwavering encouragement of the State of New York.
Ms. Bonn will welcome Senator Klein and Assemblyman Dinowitz at 7PM, prior to a music performance by Los Monstritos, a group of percussion virtuosos whose music reflects the hip-hop and regaaeton rhythms of their Bronx neighborhoods.
