About Us

Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. Its mission is to celebrate the artistry and legacy of its gardens and landscapes, to preserve its magnificent views, and to explore human connections to the natural world through programs in horticulture, education and the arts.

Deepen your knowledge of the insect world with a family-friendly weekend at Wave Hill! On Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, get creative at the Teddy Bear Caterpillar Family Art Project. Adorn a sock puppet with fur, yarn, hair and button eyes to make your own cuddly, teddy-bear caterpillar pal. Continue the fun at Saturday’s Wonderful Woolly Bears nature presentation. Meet live woolly bear caterpillars with an environmental educator from the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum and find out more about the life cycle of these fuzzy, friendly creatures. On Sunday, round out the weekend
