Petco™ and Hill’s® Science Diet Host National Pet Adoption Weekend

September 10-11 Events to Help Shelter Dogs and Cats Find Loving HomesWHAT:   A study in the Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science found that behavioral problems were the most frequent reason owners gave when turning their dog in to a shelter. With 5-7 million companion animals entering shelters every year, Petco™ is helping to raise awareness for this issue during their monthly National Adoption Weekend. Every Petco store will host pet adoption events the weekend of  September 10, 2011. Hill’s® Science Diet is sponsoring the weekend and providing a free small bag of its dog or cat food
