World Challenge Leaders To Be Inspired
Nature, travel and adventure photographer John Beatty will be a guest of World Challenge at their inaugural Leader Forum at Condover Hall, Shropshire on Thursday (March 6).
John, who lives in the Peak District, has adventured across 38 countries for the past 29 years and continuously strives to portray the beauty and power of the natural world through his imagery.
John is also a captivating and inspirational speaker and will talk to 80 current World Challenge Expedition Leaders about the skills of engagement, leadership and motivation based on stories of his own experiences both whilst alone and in charge of others in remote and wild places.
Whether rafting down the Colorado River of the Grand Canyon, filming the volcanic eruption in Iceland, or celebrating around a campfire with primitive Kalahari Bushmen, John's stories leave his audiences energised.
“Throughout my life in travel the simplest and most ordinary every day events in nature have absorbed and fascinated me," said John.
"I have been lucky to be able to share these wonders with fellow travellers, friends, adventurers and enthusiasts and I hope the World Challenge Expedition Leaders can resonate with my experiences which will hopefully help them grow further into their important roles."
A first retrospective book of John's work was published in 2011, entitled Wild Vision, A Celebration of the Natural World.
World Challenge is the original school expeditions company and was founded in 1987.
World Challenge works with schools in 25 countries and has over 15,000 students, 700 schools, 1,500 teachers and 30,000 parents on the ‘books’ at any one time.
