World Challenge has appointed International SOS as its new international medical and travel security assistance partner.

The partnership commenced on April 1 and will allow World Challenge to streamline its medical processes and policies both pre-departure and during expedition into a single global approach.

Through its worldwide network of assistance centres, clinics and health and logistics providers, International SOS offers local expertise, preventative advice, and emergency assistance during critical illness, accident or civil unrest.

World Challenge’s Global Operations Director Stuart Morris is delighted to have agreed to a partnership with the world’s leading providers in both medical and security international assistance.

He said: “International SOS has an impressive amount of resource and expertise that is readily available to help support our teams whilst on expedition no matter what time of day, what day of the year, or how complex the incident.

“Our Operations Centre will work closely with International SOS to ensure that if required and where available, our participants get access to the necessary medical support and care they need.

“International SOS also provides us with independent global security information which we are able to use to support our current destination risk analysis methodology.”

The group boasts an impressive portfolio of 11,000 employees, led by 5,600 medical and security professionals, work from more than 850 locations in 92 countries to provide solutions that help International SOS’ members wherever they live or travel, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Leigh Burns, General Manager, Sales & Marketing Northern Europe, International SOS added: “We are delighted to become World Challenge‘s partner of choice to help them provide medical and security support for their expeditions.

“We believe that through our combined capabilities, parents can rest assured that the right support structure is in place to keep their children safe and happy on their life-changing adventures.”
