Heat pumps serviced using XMReality Remote Guidance

The Installation and service of heat pumps is an established technology in the Nordic countries, and this technology is now increasingly reaching other countries as well. NIBE Energy Systems, the Nordic region's leading manufacturer of heat pumps and indoor climate systems, is expanding internationally and introducing climate-smart Nordic technology to the global market. This means a growing need for efficient service and support for partners and subsidiaries that lack the same experience with heat pumps. With the help of XMReality Remote Guidance, NIBE expects to create an efficient and sustainable world-class service business.

Knowledge of heat pumps is well established in Northern Europe, but in other markets more efforts are needed to spread awareness of the technology among installers, service technicians and consumers. Nibe has therefore chosen to supplement its help desk with XMReality Remote Guidance to train and support service technicians, international partners and installers.

NIBE Energy Systems has expanded internationally and therefore has an increased need for effective support for its partners. After evaluating XMReality Remote Guidance in 2019, it is now proceeding to introduce the solution to its help desk. NIBE Energy Systems develops and manufactures sustainable, intelligent and energy-efficient solutions for indoor comfort for all types of properties and is part of the global company NIBE Industrier.

With its products, NIBE is a natural participant in the transition to a fossil-free society with lower energy consumption. The group had sales in 2018 of SEK 22.5 billion and just over 16,900 employees.

We see great potential in the use of Remote Guidance in combination with our connected heat pumps. Better and more accurate troubleshooting, which means shorter downtime and reduces the proportion of incorrectly replaced spare parts, and also to achieve increased customer satisfaction and reduced travel,” explains Berry Christensson, Service Manager at NIBE.

We can see that many of our customers highlight the difficulty of sharing knowledge with newly hired technicians, service partners and customers in an efficient way while meeting the sustainability requirements for reduced travel,” says Marcin Szymanski, Chief Sales Officer at XMReality.
