YIT and Newsec have made an agreement on the Commercial Management Services of shopping center Dixi
Newsec Asset Management Oy has been chosen to be the Commercial Manager of the shopping and office center Dixi which is under construction in Tikkurila. On the 1st of July 2014, Newsec and YIT have made an agreement on an overall commercial management service package which will cover the first phase of the shopping center part of Dixi, opening at the turn of the year 2014-2015.
Dixi, located in the center of Tikkurila, is a shopping and office center constructed by YIT. The center will be connected to the railway station and bus terminal and the first phase of nearly 14 000 m2 in size will be completed at the end of the year 2014. The space will be divided evenly into offices and retail-premises.
In its first phase, shopping center Dixi will be the location of approximately 30 retail- and service-sector enterprises, a restaurant-world and a parking facility for 500 cars. The anchor-store of Dixi is supermarket S-Market from HOK-Elanto. Dixi will be easily reachable from the street level, bus terminal, railway station and from the parking facilities. Easy access to the railway station and Dixi becoming the new center of Tikkurila will create excellent conditions for the commercial success of the center.
‘’Dixi hosts a special location next to the heavily trafficked main railroad. With the completion of the ring rail road in 2015, the number of passengers and potential customers will constantly increase. Successful opening of the shopping center gives a kick start for the sales and overall success for all businesses operating in Dixi. We are very satisfied to have found an experienced and trustworthy partner with professional staff and wide cooperation-network to manage our commercial services. Together with Newsec we will strengthen the Dixi brand and attractivity”, comments Heikki K. Hannukkala from YIT.
‘’It is extremely interesting to be a part of creating one of the future market places and regional centers. The easily accessible location, surrounded by a densely populated area, creates an excellent basis for a shopping center. It is also great to see Newsec’s growth in the commercial management services’’, comments Samuli Killström, the director of the Leasing and Retail unit in Newsec. Killström believes that especially the strong experience in management combined with youthful persons and ideas create a good basis for the success of the new center starting from the opening date.
