    YIT and VR Track to construct Jokeri Light Rail

The total budget for the project is EUR 275 million. The construction contractor for the project has been announced. The light railway route will considerably support the growth of the metropolitan area. The contract covers the construction of the light railway route from Itäkeskus in Helsinki to Keilaniemi in Espoo.

    YIT and Newsec have made an agreement on the Commercial Management Services of shopping center Dixi

    Newsec Asset Management Oy has been chosen to be the Commercial Manager of the shopping and office center Dixi which is under construction in Tikkurila. On the 1st of July 2014, Newsec and YIT have made an agreement on an overall commercial management service package which will cover the first phase of the shopping center part of Dixi, opening at the turn of the year 2014-2015.     YIT starts the construction of a new apartment building project named Park in Moscow Oblast. The project is located in Krasnogorsk city, approximately 4 kilometres from the Moscow ring road. The total value of the project is approximately EUR 60 million, and it is due for completion by the end of 2016. The Park project covers one 17-storey apartment building with 550 apartments and a total living area of approximately 24,000 square meters.     YIT’s housing Project ‘Akacijas’ was rewarded in a category of “the most energy efficient building in Latvia” contest.  The competition is organized by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia and the magazine Buvinzenieris.     YIT to build a hybrid project worth approximately EUR 80 million in Lauttasaari, Helsinki

    YIT has signed an agreement to buy the entire share capital of the Lauttasaari mall located in Lauttasaari, Helsinki. The existing mall, completed in 1970, will be demolished and replaced by a hybrid complex consisting of a shopping centre and three blocks of flats on top of the shopping centre.
