YIT Corporation Press release 29 April 2022 at 8:00 a.m.

YIT has signed a contract with Cloudberry Development Oy on a real estate complex to be built as a project management contract close to the front slopes of Levi Ski Resort. The project consists of 41 holiday apartments, a parking hall, a gym, and commercial premises. The scope of the project is approximately 7,900 gross square metres. The total value of the project is around EUR 40 million, of which the YIT’s share of the construction contract is approximately EUR 20 million.

The holiday apartments of Icy Hot Chalet Levi ski-in/ski-out will be styled in thought-out luxury with large windows opening up to spectacular landscapes. The largest, two-storey loft apartments will have a floor area of up to 200 square metres. The complex also includes a semi-detached house and a terraced house. The brick selected as the facade material for the ground floor and the timber cladding in the upper floors create a warm atmosphere. The property will have parking spaces for 47 cars, 15 of which are reserved for electric vehicles. In addition to the parking spaces, the property will also have storage for sports equipment, skis, ski boots and other items.

“We’ve been developing the project with the client for several years. The past few years have been challenging for the tourism industry and the related construction due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, and I’m particularly glad to see that we’ve been able to launch the project as planned regardless of the current situation. The cooperation has started in great spirits, and the project management contract has used an exceptional amount of collaboration and joint work to optimise the openness of the dialogue concerning the parties’ wishes and goals. The goal is to develop the area even further in the future. As the construction phase starts in April, we will start planning the next phase to be built on the plot,” says Project Manager Jussi Koskelainen from YIT.

The construction will start in late April 2022, and the project is due to be finished by the end of November 2023. The goal is for the residents to get to enjoy the Christmas season in their new holiday apartments.
