One of York’s smallest housing associations has completed a transfer of its housing stock to York Housing Association through a Transfer of Engagements.  This will provide continuity of local management for its tenants in the city. There must be something in the soil in Rothwell where two people who live on the same street beat nearly 1000 other gardeners across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire to win top awards in a gardening competition for the second year running. New role for former homeless hostel in Scarborough

York Housing Association has started work on a housing project to bring one of Scarborough’s disused buildings back into use, working in partnership with Scarborough Borough Council. Garden party launches golden celebrations for York Housing Association

Golden sunshine on the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in York was a welcome start to the 50thanniversary celebrations of York Housing Association (YHA), which hosted a garden party for supporters, staff and residents at the historic building. Monks Cross-based York Housing Association, which owns and manages social housing across York, Leeds, Scarborough and the East Riding of Yorkshire, has announced details of its new chair.  Kevin McAleese will take the reins of the organisation in September 2014 as chair of its board.
