The Norwegian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Robert Eriksson, was deeply impressed when he last week visited Zalaris in Lødingen.

Thursday last week, Robert Eriksson, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, was given a tour and presentation of Zalaris’ Lødingen office. Zalaris has had business in Lødingen since 2001, when 15 employees at the payroll division of Bravida were transferred to Zalaris. Today, the Lødingen office counts 62 employees.

“Through the use of knowledge and technology, Lødingen has succeeded in the transformation that came after Telenor and the Norwegian Army came. What I have been told here is a real success story”, Eriksson told the local newspaper Bladet Vesterålen.

Today Zalaris delivers payroll and HR services to a total of 170.000 employees in major companies from different countries.

“I am impressed by the competence at Zalaris. You can only look at the client list. We are talking companies that are “among the big”, he said.

Eriksson opens for a situation that companies such as Zalaris in the future can deliver payroll and HR services for employees in the public sector.

«This government has a goal of getting the most out of the public administration. I am talking about tasks that currently are done by the state, definitely can be outsourced if the work could be done better and cheaper”, Eriksson told the local newspaper in Lødingen.
