Biorefinery Leader Borregaard Goes Live with Zalaris Services
Five-year HR/payroll outsourcing pact enables greater flexibility and scalability as well as seamless internal SAP systems integration.
Zalaris has begun live implementation of a five-year deal to provide HR and payroll-focused services and support to Borregaard, which operates one of the world’s most advanced and sustainable biorefineries – employing 1,000+ staff in plants and sales offices across 16 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.
The Zalaris agreement, inked in September, quickly advanced to deployment this month and includes payroll, travel expense, time and attendance through third-party integration as well as personnel administration services, plus full credit card integration, according to the companies.
Headquartered in Sarpsborg, Norway, Borregaard produces environmentally friendly biochemicals, biomaterials and bioethanol that can replace oil-based products. The Sarpsborg, Norway-based company’s expertise also extends into global ingredients and fine chemicals markets.
“Zalaris met our criteria for a flexible scalable approach to HR and payroll services, yet with seamless integration into our existing SAP environment,” explained Roar Hagren, Administration Manager at Borregaard. “Just as important, we wanted a partner we could work closely with to realize additional cost savings and efficiencies within our organization.”
Borregaard’s plans also include leveraging Zalaris’ Personnel Document Archiving Solution, commencing in February, to enable even faster secure access to confidential information.
