Celebrating opening of new office

Zalaris’ office in Chennai, India has now officially been opened. The company has high ambitions for the new service centre.

Zalaris, a leading provider of payroll and HR services, celebrated the opening of its India office on Thursday, October 8. CEO Hans-Petter Mellerud joined the ceremony together with new and familiar faces.

“This is an important milestone for Zalaris. We have an ambition to strengthen our offshoring capability and supplement our Nordic operations in order to deliver even more efficient services to our clients. Until recently we have bought services from a third-party partner in India. The people who have been working for us in this company, will now join the Zalaris family as employees in our subsidiary”, explains Mellerud.

Zalaris HR Services India Ltd. is based in Chennai, India’s fourth most populous metropolitan area with more than 9 million people. The office will play an important role in serving Zalaris’ existing clients. Currently, the service team counts approximately 50 people.

“We have the intention to quadruple our Indian operations next year. In addition to serving our existing client, we are also looking at how this service team can deliver services directly to European businesses which are present in India. We are excited about the opportunities in this market”, says Mellerud.
