New research report from HR expert Zalaris sheds light on the decade ahead in human resources; includes guiding principles to BPO best practices and solutions for enterprises striving to keep up with the rapid pace of innovation.

Zalaris has released a new white paper, “HR 2020,” detailing the modern HR landscape amidst a time of game-changing realities. The paper utilizes extensive internal research combined with the company’s knowledge of HR best practices to deliver insight into what companies should expect over the next two years.

The HR 2020 report cites the following as primary trends:

  • Shared Services will continue to grow, increasing efficiency and cutting cloud costs
  • Automation will create more strategic HR functions — not fewer overall jobs
  • Advances in analytics will drastically improve recruiting, onboarding, training and more
  • BPO value, design thinking, mobile, and security will drive HR decision making

“There’s literally no sense in delaying the types of advances today’s technologies enable in conjunction with proven HR best practices,” said Zalaris founder and CEO Hans-Petter Mellerud in the HR 2020 report’s introduction, noting that the year will also be the company’s 20th in developing and delivering local-language-based HR, payroll and related outsourcing services – all powered by one common IT solution with harmonized processes.

“HR modernization will continue at an accelerated pace in the months ahead,” Mellerud added. “Greater strategic value is at hand, with routine administrative tasks increasingly turned into automated cost savings. The economic advantages are undeniable, including unprecedented time to value in deploying and managing the world’s best HR management and payroll solutions.”

Mellerud described Zalaris as having “a unique vantage point on the trends affecting human resources and how best to proceed for top performance and value. The HR 2020 report brings that ‘people vision’ into focus and shows companies what they need to do to stay ahead.”
