For the fifth year in a row, Zalaris proudly sponsors the Zalaris Norseman Xtreme Triathlon. This extraordinary event is designed to inspire and showcase the resilience of ordinary people in achieving the extraordinary. Norseman is known as the world’s toughest triathlon, a race that ‘makes triathletes cry’.

#teamZalaris for Norseman 2024 featured an accomplished lineup, including Svenja Mann (Germany), Nicole Muller (Germany), Lars Haugvad (Norway), and Anders Muren (Norway). The team delivered outstanding performances, with Haugvad finishing 12th at Mount Gausta and Muren placing 17th. Svenja Mann earned the prestigious black t-shirt, while Nicole Muller secured a white t-shirt, marking her strong finish in this challenging event.

Throughout the year, the team has raised more than 500 000 NOK directly benefitting AKTIV Against Cancer and Hopp Children's Cancer Center Heidelberg (KiTZ) to support the fight against cancer. Zalaris' participation is more than just an endurance challenge - it's a celebration of community and a commitment to making a difference. Additionally, this summer, Swix is donating 10% of all sales from the Roadline collection to AKTIV Against Cancer. Together, we're not only racing toward personal goals but also toward a greater cause.

CEO and founder of Zalaris, Hans-Petter Mellerud, expresses gratitude, “Thank you to #teamZalaris for delivering strong performances and inspiring commitment to fundraising in support of the fight against cancer. You set an example for all of us. We can achieve great things when we aim high, stay committed, and put in the necessary effort. Your actions inspire others to pursue physical activity and support noble causes.”

Anders Muren, who reached the finish line as 17th, says: "Norseman is more than just a race; it's a journey that tests every limit, both physically and mentally. Crossing the finish line was a culmination of months of dedication and perseverance. The emotions at the top were overwhelming - tears of joy and a profound sense of accomplishment. The support from the community and the spirit of the race made it an unforgettable experience. Norseman is not just about the destination, but the journey and the incredible people we meet along the way."

The race was won by Swede Sebastian Norberg, with a finishing time of 10:10:19 and German Laura Zimmermann, with a finishing time of 11:32:56, who climbed first to the top of Gaustatoppen.

Svenja Mann, a German athlete, says: "I was lucky to take part in the Norseman for the second time. After terrible cold and rainy weather in 2022, I was able to experience beautiful and sunny weather this time. Nevertheless, Norseman remains brutal, even in good weather. I had a fantastic day together with my support team. The team spirit and the solidarity of Team Zalaris makes it an exceptional and unforgettable experience. You always feel safe and secure, which gives you a lot of confidence and security in an extreme race like the Norseman."

Zalaris Norseman Xtreme Triathlon is the world’s most gruelling and awe-inspiring endurance event. This full-distance triathlon begins with a jump from a ferry into the cold waters of the Eidfjord in Norway's Hardanger region. Athletes then swim 3.8 kilometres before embarking on a 180-kilometer bike ride that traverse some of Norway’s most breathtaking and challenging terrain. The race culminates in a marathon run, with the finish line perched at the summit of the iconic Mount Gaustatoppen. Spanning a total of 226 kilometres with over 5,000 meters of elevation gain, the Norseman is a true test of endurance, strength, and determination. The event is proudly supported by Zalaris, its title sponsor.
