The municipality Bø in Vesterålen (Norway) has signed a Letter of Intent with Zalaris
OSLO, NORWAY - During the last months, Bø and Zalaris has discussed a potential strategic partnership with the goal of establishing new jobs in the private sector in Bø. Formalized in a letter of intent (Lol) the goal is also to prepare and implement a municipal solution covering the same scope of services as Zalaris offers other customers in the private sector.
“We are both proud and happy to enter into this LoI with Bø. Zalaris has during the last 15+ years been a driving force to establish jobs in this region. Now it is time to increase our presence in a region with potential for even greater growth,” says Hans-Petter Mellerud, Zalaris’ founder and CEO.
In addtion, the parties intend to join forces to attract potential new customers, including other municipalities in the region, municipal business units, and other private companies who, together with Bø and Zalaris, want to contribute to growth in the private sector in Bø and surrounding areas. The Norwegian municipalities represent an exciting market for Zalaris’ attractiv model and services.
“We see significant potential to support Bø and other municipalities in the region with technology and services which will enable them to improve digitalization, reduce costs, and free-up time and resources to deliver core services to its citizens,” says Mellerud.
The parties intend to finalize an agreement for the pilot by end of Q1 2019, and to join forces to meet the agreed objectives during the coming months.
