Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) is a regional water authority based in Victoria, Australia. As a critical provider of water and wastewater services, GVW is deeply committed to sustainability, innovation, and ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality water to meet both the region’s growing needs and its environmental goals.

With a focus on long-term growth, GVW sought to modernise its internal HR processes to support its evolving workforce of over 250 employees and streamline operations. 

Project Objectives and Implementation Goals

GVW’s primary objective was to enhance operational efficiency by modernising HR processes. The project aimed to replace the existing legacy systems with a cloud-based platform that would allow for greater scalability, flexibility, and functionality. The key objectives of the implementation were clear:

  • Transition from legacy systems to a cloud-based SAP SuccessFactors platform to support future growth and enhance functionality. 
  • Improve data accuracy and access, allowing for better and more informed decision-making. 
  • Enhance employee engagement by providing a self-service platform that would empower employees to take control of their HR tasks.
