Ulf Jonsson, co-founder of Zengun, was elected today as the new Chairman of the Board of Zengun Group AB (publ).

Ulf Jonsson succeeds Jan Örnevik, who after many years as Chairman of Zengun Group AB (publ) and Zengun AB, has chosen to wind down his commitments and step down from the Board of Directors.

“Since its start, Zengun has experienced a fantastic development trend with step-by-step organic growth, which has aided the company in maintaining its strong culture and specific way of working. Now, growth is continuing, not just in Stockholm, but also around the Mälardalen region. I look forward to taking over from Jan, and to working closely with the company management headed by Mick Salonen,” says Ulf Jonsson.

Ulf Jonsson, born in 1964, is a graduate in civil engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and has extensive experience in the construction industry. He co-founded Zengun in 2009, and previously held senior positions at Skanska for many years. Ulf was previously CEO of Zengun and has been on the Board since the company was started.

“I am pleased that Ulf is now taking over as Chairman and look forward to continuing our close collaboration. As one of the founders, Ulf has made his mark on Zengun since the beginning, and together we will continue to develop,” says Mick Salonen, President and CEO.

Zengun is one of the leading construction contractors in Stockholm. The election of the new Chairman of the Board took place at the company’s Annual General Meeting on 12 May. After the Annual General Meeting, the Board consists of a total of four members.
