Zivid 3D Camera awarded "Top Innovation"
Independent German jury choose Zivid for technical innovations, usability and market fit.
OSLO, Norway, January 8, 2018 -- Zivid Labs receives "Top Innovation" by inVISION, Germany, for the Zivid 3D camera. 3D vision is being adopted and used in industrial automation and robot vision. Based on a patented structured-light and sensor engine, Zivid One is the world's most accurate real-time 3D color camera targeting smart industry applications and factories.
For the fourth time, the journal inVISION honors particularly innovative products in the fields of image processing, embedded vision, and 3D metrology. An independent jury has classified ten products and solutions as worthy of prizes, which are characterized by technical innovations, particularly simple usability or the ability to open up new market segments.
The Zivid 3D camera provides full HD 3D color snapshots at 100ms per image (incl. acquisition and 3D processing time), while delivering depth resolution at 100μm at the same time. That is about 50 to 100 times more accurate than any other high-speed 3D color camera on the market. The availability of both 3D and full color (RGBD) data makes it much easier to locate and characterize features in an automation operation.
