    NYAB wins turnkey contract for railway project

    During March, NYAB signed a turnkey contract for replacement of track switches on a railway section in the middle of southern Sweden with an estimated value of around SEK 140 million. The project, with the Swedish Transport Administration,includes planning and replacement of 26 track switches and approximately 2.7 kilometers railway track between Katrineholm and Hallsberg on the Västra Stambanan connecting Stockholm and Gothenburg.     NYAB signs letter of intent to acquire marine construction company

    NYAB has signed a Letter of Intent ("LOI") regarding the acquisition of Dyk & Anläggning Stockholm AB, a company specializing in underwater and marine construction operations throughout Sweden. The purchase price amounts to SEK 26 million, of which SEK 13 million will be paid as cash consideration and the remainder through a directed share issue to Dyk & Anläggning Stockholm AB's shareholders. The Letter of Intent was signed on February 29, and completion of the acquisition is subject to satisfactory Due Diligence review. Closing is expected to take place during the month of April. The

    NYAB will construct a new industrial building for Duroc Rail and LKAB. The industrial building will be utilized for Duroc Rail's operations in wheel maintenance for locomotives and wagons, aiming to enhance the efficiency and predictability of rail transports in northern Sweden. The order is a turnkey contract starting in March 2024 and expected to be finalised in 2025. NYAB has previously conducted planning and land preparation work for the industrial premises.     NYAB has been awarded the railway section Järna–Nyköping–Åby within the Swedish Transport Administration's expansion program Opto 2.0, where a new fiber network is inserted to implement the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) signaling system in Sweden. The contract is worth SEK 47 million and means an opportunity for additional orders as the Swedish Transport Administration can assign NYAB other parts in the program without new procurements.     NYAB continues its collaboration with Swedish state-owned LKAB in the large urban transformation project in Malmberget, Gällivare and Koskullskulle. The relocation of buildings is necessary to maintain future mining operations as the origin community is too close the iron ore. During 2022, NYAB moved 12 heritage houses along with storage buildings to the new residential area at Nuolajärvi in Gällivare. NYAB has also carried out land preparation work.     Skarta Energy and Business Tornio plan an industrial-scale solar farm in Tornio

    Business Tornio Oy, a Tornio-based development company, and Skarta Energy Oy have signed a letter of intent on the preparation of a feasibility plan for a solar power plant in Tornio. If implemented, the investment in the approximately 100-hectare solar farm would amount to about EUR 60 million.The industrial-scale solar farm is planned be located in a partially decommissioned borrow pit in the Kyläjoki area. The Arctio North industrial park is currently being planned next to the area. Placing large-scale industry near a solar farm will introduce significant synergies to the industrial area.

    NYAB – a fast-growing infrastructure player with Sweden as its largest market, has entered into an agreement with Swedavia for widening taxi runways at Arlanda. The value of the contract is SEK 66 million.The deal means that NYAB develops Arlanda with wider taxi runways. The work is operationally critical and requires careful planning for the work's short execution time and high precision.     With the new agreement, NYAB will carry out the earthworks on the railway projects in Linaälv-Kalixfors and northern Kiruna for Infranord.Infranord is the largest railway contracting company in Sweden and one of the largest players in Norway.     NYAB has signed an agreement with Swedish Transport Administration regarding strengthening measures on the road 750, between Holmfors and Sandträsk, as well as construction of a new bridge in Boden municipality in Norrbotten.
