Edinburgh University Press Joins Forces with Oxford

Edinburgh University Press, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Edinburgh and the third largest University Press in the UK, has appointed Oxford University Press as its exclusive agent in North & South America and Canada with effect from 1st August 2013. The agreement includes sales, marketing and distribution of all Edinburgh’s print book products and from August 2014 Edinburgh’s ebook business in the Americas and Canada.
Commenting on the new agreement, Timothy Wright, Chief Executive of Edinburgh, said ‘we have had a number of approaches from potential partners in the USA and have decided that Oxford University Press, the world’s largest University Press, is best suited to growing our business in what is a strategically vital market for us.
