Addnode Group buys mobile field tool for BIM information

January 9, 2020 - Tribia (formerly Symetri Collaboration), an Addnode Group company, continues to strengthen its position as a Nordic market leader in digital collaboration solutions for the construction and civil engineering industry through the acquisition of the Norwegian IT company Unizite.

Unizite has developed a cloud-based mobile field tool that ensures that 3D models, drawings, documents and BIM are available to everyone at the construction site. In addition, the company has streamlined change management, inspection, checklists and work environment and safety processes with its mobile solutions.

- The acquisition is an important part of our BIM collaboration strategy. The cornerstones of our BIM Collaboration solution are Interaxo and BIMEYE, but the acquisition of Unizite ensures that we can both present and record digital information at the construction site via mobile field tools. This enables our customers to reduce costs and increase the quality of both the construction project as such, and the digital information forwarded in the management and operations phase, explains Steinar Svinø, CEO of Tribia.

The Unizite mobile field tool can also be used to start a deviation process by registering the deviation directly in the 3D model integrated with Interaxo, or registering that materials and building parts have been delivered and/or assembled. It will also be possible to see the project's progress in BIMEYE.
