For the first time Advania Group is launching a Group-wide sustainability report covering all countries and recent acquisitions up until 2022. The report describes Advania’s common strategy for sustainability and how each country has committed to achieving ambitious joint targets.

As one of the leading IT service providers in northern Europe, Advania Group makes a key contribution to sustainable development. The Group has clear objectives in this domain regarding its own organisation’s working methods, as well as those employed throughout the supply chain.

As the pace of digitalisation has accelerated, Advania has raised its level of ambition in the entire Group by setting nine joint targets in all areas related to environmental, social and governance (ESG), as well as numerous local targets in the individual countries.

“As Advania grows, so does our responsibility for building a sustainable society. It is of utmost importance that we take responsibility for our supply chain and our commitment to the UN Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals,” says Hege Støre, CEO at Advania Group.

Advania Group has been experiencing impressive growth, more than doubling in size in 2022. Today the Group consists of over 4,200 highly skilled employees on a mission to create sustainable value through the smart use of technology.

In 2022 Advania Group took several initiatives to integrate key sustainability goals in its operations. The results of these initiatives include the following:

  • Advania Iceland has come a long way in its initiative to attract more women leaders to the industry via the Vertonet network.
  • After a process taking nearly two years, Science Based Targets initiative has validated and approved Advania Sweden’s climate targets. This is excellent proof of the company’s elevated level of ambition in this area.
  • Advania Norway became a member of Ethical Trade Norway, a strategic step in terms of working with peers in the local market on compliance with the Norwegian Transparency Act.

“Efforts to prevent and reduce the negative impact the business might inflict on the environment, people and society is crucial to Advania. We owe it to our people and the planet to shift our business models towards a more sustainable and circular offering,” says Hege Støre.

At Advania our employees are our most valuable resource – and sustainability is key. We now have the power and the responsibility to take action by reducing our own negative impact and utilising the tech sector’s potential, enabling us to also help our customers become significantly more climate smart.
