Advania Norway sells ERP-business to Columbus
Advania Norway has sold the business solutions part of the operation to Columbus; a Danish listed IT services and business applications company (OMX: COLUM). Hence, Advania Norway will focus on IT infrastructure services, Contact Centre solutions and strengthening its position as an independent software vendor for the real-estate market.
The sale includes the Advania Norway's BS consultant and sales mechanism, customer contracts and obligations. The boards of both companies have approved the deal, effective as of January 6th. Forty-five people will transfer from Advania Norway and become Columbus employees.
"The ERP-market is changing and consolidating. Hence ERP-suppliers need to grow and reach a certain capacity to manage clients of all sizes and complex projects. Columbus has chosen that path while we are stepping away from our previous role as a general Microsoft Dynamics supplier. Instead, we are specializing in supplying IT infrastructure with services and solutions, hardware and software, Contact Centre and PMAx. This is in line with the Advania Group's strategy, and our assessment of how to achieve the growth we desire," says Espen B Hartz, CEO of Advania Norway.
For 18 months, Mr Hartz has lead Advania Norway through extensive changes. With the acquisition of Stepper and Itello, the company has evolved from solely being a supplier of ERP to become a full-service provider within both ERP and infrastructure. With the current sale to Columbus, the company has completed its shift to become a supplier of infrastructure, Contact Centre and PMAx within property management.
«The sale is an important step for us, as we now move on to strengthen Advania Norway with further investment and acquisitions. We are supported by a clear Group strategy, and we're eager to continue,» says Hartz.
A Good Match for Customers and Employees
Espen Hartz is pleased with the fact that Columbus is taking over Advania's ERP business in Norway. He thinks the company is well equipped to succeed within the field of ERP, and that customers making the transfer from Advania will experience a robust selection of services.
«I am also confident that Columbus is a good choice for our employees, now transferring to a new employer. Their large pool of projects and customers is inspiring, as well as their corporate culture. Many of our people are already familiar to it and their new colleagues, from joint customer projects in recent years. They will bring fresh talent and know-how to Columbus, and I wish them all the best.»
Advania Norway will keep PMAx, a proprietary business solution for property management and the belonging employees, in addition to services in infrastructure and Contact Centre Solutions.
Independent Software Vendor in Property Management
PMAx is an independent software developed by Advania Norway in cooperation with Advania Iceland. It has been very successful in the Norwegian market, and now Advania Norway is bringing the solution to other European countries. PMAx is available through Microsoft AppSource.
"We have invested in the development of PMAx, and we are excited to move forward. 2019 proved that we have a reliable, professional and academic team, and our solution is in demand. The market is crying for effective, cloud-based property management platform, and we can provide it."
