    ÅF wins major order from Chr. Hansen in Denmark

    ÅF has signed a new contract with the bioscience company Chr. Hansen A/S, worth about EUR 5.5 million. ÅF will modernize Chr. Hansen`s production plant in Roskilde, Denmark and the order is an end-to-end solution.     ÅF builds new assembly line for CEJN

    ÅF has been contracted by CEJN to build a new assembly line in Skövde, Sweden. The assignment is an end-to-end solution for which ÅF will supply turnkey equipment for assembly of quick connect couplings. The order value is just over SEK 11 million.     Semper chooses production system from ÅF

    ÅF won an order from Semper to develop and deliver a new production system for its factory in Götene, Sweden. The new production system gives Semper increased traceability, improved product safety and better working conditions for operators.     ÅF reduces sulphur emissions at Skutskär Mill in Sweden

    ÅF has been commissioned by Stora Enso to build a new lean gas system at Skutskär Mill to reduce sulphur emissions and improve the smell in the surrounding area. The assignment is an end-to-end solution worth about SEK 10 million. The new system is expected to be operational in autumn 2017.     ÅF has been contracted by Stora Enso to provide detailed engineering of a new chemical plant at Skoghall Mill in Sweden, one of the world’s largest producers of paperboard for liquid and foodstuff packaging.     ÅF to the rescue in restoration of Hallsta paper mill

    The paper mill in Hallstavik in Sweden is back to operating at full capacity after a major fire in November last year. ÅF was on site just days after the big fire to inspect and replace damaged equipment. Several of the plant’s machines for pulp production of book and magazine paper were damaged in the fire.     ÅF has been commissioned by Statkraft to renovate the electrical and control equipment of two hydropower plants on the Lagan River.     ÅF designs record large processing plant for reusable items in the food industry

    ÅF will design and deliver a new logistics and processing plant in Västerås for the handling and washing of returnable, reusable boxes and pallets used in the consumer goods and food industries. The client is Svenska Retursystem and the assignment is worth SEK 15 million. The plant in Västerås will be Svenska Retursystem’s largest and will be able to handle about 70 million returnable boxes per year. Production starts in April 2017.     ÅF has signed a contract with DalsSpira Mejeri for the delivery of a new dairy plant. The contract is worth about SEK 12 million with the new dairy being completed in June 2016. DalsSpira needs to increase its production of goat’s and cow’s milk products and ÅF has been contracted to deliver the dairy plant as an end-to-end solution in Dalsland, Sweden. The contract covers project planning and management along with installation of processing equipment including electricity and automation.     ÅF wins order from CEVT

    ÅF has won a new order from automotive company China Euro Vehicle Technology (CEVT) in Gothenburg, Sweden. ÅF will deliver a work package within Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and the order is one of the largest single CAE work package that Swedish automotive industry has ever outsourced. ÅF will be responsible for CAE in new development projects and perform simulations in areas like crashworthiness, fatigue and noise vibration harshness.     ÅF builds explosives storage for LKAB Kimit

    LKAB is expanding production in the Svappavaara area and ÅF has been contracted to enlarge the storage facilities due to an increase in the amount of explosives required.     ÅF is to supply Skogsforsen’s hydropower plant in Ätran with new electrical and control equipment.     ÅF will upgrade the automation system in Sakab’s incineration plant in Kumla. The project starts in September 2015 and is expected to last three years. The assignment is a total project management solution in which ÅF will replace five old operator systems (ABB SattGraph 5000) with a common ABB 800xA system.     ÅF has been commissioned to project manage the construction of a dam outside Arvika, which will protect the town from flooding. In addition to project engineering (construction, electrical and mechanical installations), ÅF will also carry out a geotechnical survey and draw up tender request documentation.
