Work begins on twelve Vestas V 100 machines in Blekhem and Södra Kärra

Arise Windpower AB has decided to start construction on the Blekhem wind farm in the municipality of Västervik. The farm comprises six Vestas V 100 machines with a total output of 10.8 MW and is expected to go into operation in spring 2011. 

Also, Arise Windpower AB has decided to start construction on the Södra Kärra wind farm in the municipality of Askersund. The farm comprises six Vestas V 100 machines with a total output of 10.8 MW and is expected to go into operation in spring 2011. 

These wind farms are the company’s sixth and seventh in southern Sweden, bringing the total number of wind turbines in operation or under construction to 58, with a total output of 125 MW. The expansion target for 2010 has thus been achieved. 

The project comfortably meets the company’s target return on invested capital of 10 per cent. The estimated specific investment cost is about SEK 5.5/annual kWh.
