Assemblin has been tasked with carrying out the electrical and telecom installations at the new emergency and command centre for the Swedish Police in Örebro.

Police, emergency services and SOS Alarm will use the emergency and command centre, which will also have a shared societal function for other authorities and community stakeholders.

The facility, where various authorities will work together under one roof, is the first of its kind. The idea is for this collocation to develop and enhance the efficiency of the response in the event of accidents and crises and in connection with security measures.

Assemblin’s client is Serneke, and Intea Fastigheter AB (publ) is the lessor and customer for the project.

“We are extremely pleased and proud to be able to provide smart, sustainable installations in this unique, socially important facility,” says Christian Skoglund, Regional Manager Northwest, Assemblin El.

“Our operations in the Northwest are strategically important for us. Winning this assignment is an indication of the level of our competence and our forward-looking spirit in the region,” says Fredrik Althin, President and Business Area Manager for Assemblin El.

The emergency and command centre will be located at the northern approach to Örebro, adjacent to the E20 motorway. In addition to various command centres, the 11,600-square-metre facility will house a staff headquarters, training facilities and more. The preliminary start of construction is in December 2020, and completion of the new emergency and command centre is planned for the spring of 2023.
