Atea acquires telecommunication company in Northwest Norway

(Norway) Atea AS in Norway has entered into agreement to acquire Sunnmøre Kommunikasjon AS, which is specialized in telecommunications solutions.

Sunnmøre Kommunikasjon is a Norwegian company with 8 skilled employees working out of Ålesund on the Northwest Coast of Norway. The company is a specialized supplier of telecommunications solutions and operation of telecommunications and data networks.

In 2010 Sunnmøre Kommunikasjon had revenue of MNOK 12 and EBITDA of MNOK 3. The company is expected to generate revenue of MNOK 14 and EBITDA of MNOK 4 in 2011.

The acquisition of Sunnmøre Kommunikasjon will strengthen Atea's focus in Telco solutions. The company has a strong position in the north-west part of Norway with several large international customers, especially within the maritime sector.

Atea acquires all shares in the company and all employees will continue in Atea and strengthen Atea's competences.

The agreed transaction value (enterprise value) is MNOK 14.

The transaction will have effect as of today.
